Our SDI Youth Open Water Certification course is designed specifically for motivated, mature young divers who are ready to take their first big step into the underwater world. This weeklong program provides a structured, supportive environment where students build strong foundational skills, water confidence, and a true understanding of safe diving practices.

Because this course is geared toward ages 10–18, we include an additional day of training beyond our standard certification program. That extra time allows students to move at a comfortable pace, ask questions, refine skills, and truly master the material — not just pass it.

Throughout the week, students will complete academic sessions, confined water training, and thorough skill development with close instructor guidance. Safety, awareness, and responsibility are emphasized every step of the way.

Once pool and classroom training are complete, students have two options to finish their open water checkout dives:

• Complete local open water dives immediately following the course

• Join us in Bonaire to complete certification dives in warm, clear Caribbean waters (additional travel expense applies) November 7th-14th, 2026.

By the end of the program, graduates will earn their SDI Open Water Scuba Diver certification and be ready to explore the underwater world with confidence.
