SDI Open Water Scuba Diver Instructor Course
Ready to inspire the next generation of divers? The SDI Open Water Scuba Diver Instructor Course is where your journey as a dive educator begins. This course is designed to prepare experienced divemasters and assistant instructors to teach, guide, and certify new divers with confidence, professionalism, and a passion for the underwater world.
Led by an SDI Instructor Trainer, you’ll dive deep into teaching theory, skill demonstration, academic presentation, and course organization. You’ll learn how to create safe, fun, and effective learning environments, both in the classroom and underwater. The course includes academic sessions, confined water training, open water evaluations, and plenty of real-world teaching practice.
Our Instructor Course is limited in size to ensure personal attention and mentorship throughout the program. Tanks and weights are included; candidates must provide or rent full scuba gear.

Prerequisites:
- SDI Divemaster (or equivalent)
- Current CPR/First Aid and Oxygen Provider certifications
- Minimum 100 logged dives
- Minimum age 18
