Equipment Specialist

The certified diver looking to learn more about the scuba equipment they use on each dive as well as how to perform basic “in the field” repairs to prevent losing a dive due to an equipment malfunction.

 

Upon successful completion of this course, graduates may engage in basic equipment repair procedures to their personal scuba equipment. It is recommended that all major equipment repairs be completed by a qualified trained equipment technician.

The SDI Equipment Specialist Diver Course takes an in-depth look at exposure suits (wetsuits and dry suits), BCDs, regulators, alternate air sources, cylinders, weight systems, computers and other diving accessories.

Two nights 6pm – 9pm.

Your class fee will cover two nights of hands-on instruction and an SDI certification card. There are no open water dives required for this course.

Student Provides

Please bring all of your equipment for the practical sessions (mask, fins, regulators, BCDs, and cylinders). Equipment will be provided if you do not own something.

As long as you are 18 years or older (10 years with parental consent) you can enroll in the Equipment Specialist course.
